YOU and People Like You
Everything that gets done by United Way of Eastern New Mexico is the impact of donors and volunteers from across the community. People from every walk of life; from every part of Portales and Clovis; ... People like YOU.
United Way is created by the efforts of over 200 volunteers and the donations of over 1700 people in Roosevelt and Curry Counties.
The average volunteer contributed 18 hours, with Board Members volunteers giving approximately 50 hours. The average personal donation to UWENM was $184: the smallest was $3 and the largest was $35,000.
United Way of Eastern New Mexico also depends upon the work of our dedicated Staff to coordinate the efforts of volunteers and carry out our mission of improving lives in our community.

Misty Betrand- Clovis Civic Center

Everything I do - in my life and in this community - is for my kids and their friends. By uniting with neighbors, we can make the world a better place.
Sara Wiest- Plateau

Giving back is the right thing to do. And because when you strip away all of the distractions in life and you look at the things that really matter you’re left with things like family, community, and importance of core values. These are the very things that the United Way promotes and works to protect and provide for. I feel truly blessed to get to be a part of an organization that does so much for so many.
John Ellis- Cummins Natural Gas Engines

Every person has gifts to give that in turn bless others. Six years ago I joined the Board of United Way not knowing what to expect. I learned quickly how many amazing people work at United Way. I also have made many friends along the way through many volunteer experiences and board meetings. I can tell you that after this experience I will always Live United! My life is so much better because I chose to give and I hope it has made a difference for others as well
